Hi, I’m Paul, a painter, decorator and general handyman based in Colchester, Essex. I’ve always enjoyed DIY and painting and I’ve spent years researching the best techniques and refining my skills.
PR Handyman started as a passion project and side-line business to earn a bit of extra cash doing something I enjoy (I used to spend my hard-earned annual leave and weekends doing other people’s DIY!)
Through online reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations, I quickly found myself booked up months in advance. So, in 2020 I decided to take the business full-time and I haven’t looked back since.
Whether you want the outside of your house painted, a feature wall or some shelving put up, get in touch – there’s no job too big or too small.
All work is priced individually based on size and scope. Get in touch for a no-obligation quote and let me take the Y out of DIY.
“Paul did a fantastic job with our decorating project – quick, tidy and professional service. Highly recommend.”

“Paul & Luke replaced our wonky old fence with gravel boards & nice quality panels at a decent rate. They arrived on time, worked v hard all day and left the place tidy afterwards. Very nice fellas too! Highly recommend.”

“I want to start off by saying how I found Paul… I shared a cleaner with my friend and my friend had her house decorated last year and the cleaner kept on praising how good Paul was and how I need to use him! This highlights that not only do his customers recommend him but lots of others who see his work notice it too and recommend him. Paul was very friendly and always went the extra mile. He put up panelling for us, accommodated my changing mind on colours and wallpaper (sorry!) as well as being very reasonably priced. He was also helpful in sourcing items for us or advising what brands work better for our house. Would recommend Paul to anyone in the Rowhedge area and beyond and hope to use him again soon. Thank you for making our house more of a home.”
